What began in 1998 as a small office in Vienna's 9th district is today a well-coordinated family team—with the same values and the same passion for honest advice.
  • Founded by Peter Bischof

    What was originally intended as a side job alongside his police career quickly developed into a passion. Peter Bischof quickly recognized how interesting and diverse the insurance industry is. Identifying risks and presenting solutions, as well as providing support and assistance in the event of a claim—these are the cornerstones that our clients value and a philosophy that continues to be upheld in the company.

  • Founding of DVM

    An important milestone was the founding of the comparison platform “Der-Versicherungsmakler.at”. While today the entire insurance market can be compared on various websites within a few minutes, this option did not exist over 20 years ago. A comparison program that could also be used by other insurance brokers for a fee and that compared not only premiums but primarily benefits provided a solution. Even in our company, we cannot imagine working without the comparison program today, and we can thus find—in the private customer sector—the product with the best price-performance ratio for you within a few minutes.

  • Office and Registration

    A long-cherished dream of having our own vehicle registration office came true in 2007. That year, we opened our new office at our current location, Porzellangasse 11. This means you receive everything under one roof: vehicle insurance and vehicle registration

  • Management

    “Life is too short to only work”—which is why it will be time in 2026 for Peter Bischof to retire into his well-deserved retirement. The business succession within the family is secured, and his eldest daughter Pamela, who has been working in the company for almost 20 years herself, will take over management of the newly founded Bischof Versicherungsoffice GmbH at the end of March
